History: The DUD-DUL, Chorten, on the upper hill side of Chuchik Jal Monastery in karsha, was constructed by the king Shak-Ide/Shakthup. 1000-1025 Ad, was the years in which spiti, Splichock, karja, Khunu and Zanskar where one king dom. He was the youngest son of king Chosgel,-Skitde Nima gon. The renovated Lama Ringchen Zangpa was, at the time, already spreading dharma.
Karsha was the winter residence of the king at the time known as Chang-ngos (North) palace & Dul dul chorten was on the entrance of the palace; the Chorten has, at his center, Mandala of Galwang Mituk pa. Dorjey Semspa in the east, Rinchen Jungdan in the south, Od-Pakmey in the west and Tonyod Dupa in the north; they are painted with lineages, and its belived that who passes under the Mandala does not have to experience hell in his next life.
