NEW TRIP - SUMMER 2010 IN LADAKH - ZANSKAR
Dear Friends, Stupa Builders and Founders
Following you’ll find the information of the new trip we have organized from July 18 to August 8 in Ladakh and Zanskar. In the first part we will have the opportunity to follow the teachings of S.S. the Dalai Lama in the marvelous context of Nubra Valley, set among the Himalaya north mountains of Leh-Ladakh. We will be also introduced to the ceremony of consecration of the great statue of Maitreya realized at the monastery of Diskit, personally officiated by H. H. Dalai Lama.
From Leh we will go by jeeps to Zanskar, a great adventure in the most beautiful places of this great region of Tibetan language and tradition, leading in the places in which the organization STUPA Onlus works for the restaurations of ancient Stupa of great value. We will visit villages and we will meet people with which we have relationships and great cooperation, not only for the Stupas but also to build new schools and to sustain essential projects of local development. We will visit besides monasteries and sacred places of great historical and human value.
Trip Program 18th July - August 8th 2010
18/7 Departure from own place in flight for Delhi; it continues in transit for the Ladakh 19/7 Arrival to LEH (Ladakh); rest and acclimatization 20/7 Leh: visit of Thiksey for new restauration Stupa Project 21/7 Leh. Nubra Valley, Kardung La will be crossed in jeep and it will be set the tent near the Sumur Gompa. TRAVEL COSTS: Ladakh and Zanskar from July 18th to August 8th Total € 1.500,00 (excluded cost flight tickets)
Detail of the logistic costs: 1. Cost in Ladakh and Zanskar € 1.400,00, transfer from the airport in the hotel, 4 nights in the hotel in Leh with breakfast and supper (no lunch), 15 days of trip in the valley of Nubra and in Zanskar with double tend, food, jeep and services.
